Class Policies

  • Class fees are non-refundable. We understand that things happen. If it is 48 hours (or more) before the scheduled class, fees may be transferred one time to a future class or be used as store credit for product — NO EXCEPTIONS. Of course you can always send someone in your place, last minute.
  • NO EXCEPTIONS. Why so strict? Many of our instructors are independent contractors who spend a lot of time prepping for x-amount of people (based on registration numbers) and driving long distances to get here. At the 48 hour mark we decide if the class is a go or no (based on paid enrollment). So once we decide to hold the class, the show must go on and the instructor must get paid. Thank you so much for your understanding.
  • Classes will start promptly on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will assume that you are a no-show and all class fees will be forfeited.
  • Please refrain from wearing perfumes or scented lotions.
  • Students get 10% off purchases made within 24 hours of the day of class!
  • Class is reserved by payment.
  • Private classes, parties for adults, and birthday parties for kids are also available.
  • If you would like to register for a class on the day that it’s being held, please call the shop to confirm availability.
  • If a class is cancelled by Blue Door Beads due to low enrollment, students will be notified 24 hours before the scheduled class.
  • Classes are designed for 14 years old and up unless otherwise specified. Children 11-13 years of age may take a class with a paid parent, please check with staff if class is appropriate before signing up.
  • Children, siblings, pets or other family members not enrolled in the class may not attend.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the proper prerequisites before registering. Classes are taught at multiple levels: all levels, beginner, level 1, level 2 (see below). Please talk to a staff before you sign up for a class.
  • Materials required or materials included? Please confirm class has shopping time to gather your supplies or arrive early to shop if materials are not included. Class handouts and basic tools are provided.

    Class Levels

    • Beginner: No beadwork or wirework experience required
    • Level 1: Knowledge of basic terminology, knows how to crimp and make a simple wire loop
    • Level 2: Has completed at least two Beginner or Level 1 classes. Should be comfortable doing more intricate beadwork or wirework projects.

Don’t hesitate to ask if you have questions or concerns before you sign up for a class. Thanks & happy beading!
