The time has come to “Move On” and thank you for a bead-i-ful 12 years of community and creativity!

As beaders, we collect, we search, and we enjoy sharing the treasures we have found during our travels. All of these treasures tell a story. Sometimes they are made into a finished piece years later, while other times they sit in our bead bins waiting to be rediscovered. Oftentimes we just organize our beads and admire them! Our hope is that you’ve collected some incredible pieces over the years, and when you do look at them, you remember BDB fondly and you cherish the time you spent here. It’s been a beautiful adventure.

The pandemic shutdown brought us some tough challenges. Throughout this time you have all been so generous, both by supporting BDB and by echoing our sentiment that it’s important to have a community space for folks to let go of their stresses and embrace their creativity. Our sincerest wishes are that you don’t stop creating, and that you continue to shop at small, local businesses more and less online. Oakland needs small businesses to support our diverse community, nurture our hobbies, foster friendships, and offer safe places for staff to grow. Small businesses across the Bay Area can all use your continued support. Our community keeps us strong! Thank you for teaching us the power of community and for making us a success… you will be missed.
